Added: 11/15/2005

No need to spend your hard-earned money buying a face pack at a department store. There are plenty of face pack recipes you can make at home for a fraction of the cost! Get to know about face pack recipes. Face packs from fruits are necessary if you want to remove acnes and pimples. There are various facial scrubs available in the market; however, you can make them by yourself. Here you will find a lot of homemade face packs. With these face packs recipes you will change your look for the better.

There are now many facial packs that help keep skin healthy and young.
Natural face packs contain many nourishing supplements and vitamins to
soften upper derma layers. Cosmetic facial packs nourish skin as well as
improve its color, clean and reduce interstice and intensify blood circulation. Facial packs are one of the most convenient methods of face and neck care at home.

Facial packs use a principal of active ingredients, but the effects are not
long-lasting. That is why it is necessary to apply face packs at least 2-3
times a week. A mixture for packs should be made of fresh products just
before application. Needless to say that a facial pack should be put on
clean skin without any cosmetics on it. If there is no vessel grid, then
before applying a facial pack in order to increase its effect one can do
steam bath with the addition of chamomile, lime, sage and peppermint.

For dry skin it is necessary to do a steam bath that lasts between 5-10
minutes at least once every two months. For oily skin steam bath is applied
during fifteen minutes twice a month. Steam bath can be replaced by a warm
compress. A bath towel is moistened with a warm extract of herbs and
flowers, then applied on the face and neck and is kept until it gets cold.
Face packs recipes are different according to skin types. With dry skin for
make-up of an extract a mixture of mint, rose-petals, jasmine, chamomile,
lime, raspberry leaves, black-currant and strawberry is used.

With dry skin one of the best face packs recipes looks like the following:
a mixture of nettle, plantain, coltsfoot, calendula, aloe, St.-John's wart,
eucalyptus, birch buds and milfoil. The extract is made in the following
way: one spoon is boiled in a glass and draws for some time. The pack is
applied to the entire face and neck bottom-up; excluding the eyelids and
areas around eyes (it would be better to apply a cream on them). After the
pack is applied, it's best to allow the pack to "set". During this time you
should lie down for abut 20 minutes and use a low pillow; as to not elevate
our head too much.

In order to remove the facial pack, regardless of skin type, it is not
recommended to use hard, boiled water. For removing a face-pack off fat skin you should soften warm water with boric acid, acidify it with a lemon,
orange juice, cranberries, juice of red current. Anyway, a pack is removed
with the help of a few wet wads of cotton wool. For normal and dry skin
types packs are removed with herbal extracts, tea, milk, hips extract and
cold salty water. No matter what face packs recipes you use, the packs
shouldn't be overdone, especially when it concerns masks that turn into a
solid pellicle.

If a face-pack will be applied for more than twenty minutes it can strain
the skin, tire muscles and promote an annoying feeling of tiredness. Face
packs recipes are different for every season, age and skin state. There are
also different face packs from fruits and homemade face packs such as
nourishing, softening, and depriving of fat and so on. In the structure of a
pack for dry skin it is useful to add vegetable oil, sour cream and cream.
For oily skin face packs recipes that contain fruit acids are useful. These
packs contain vitamins, glucose and promote keeping of water in skin.
